PELOSI REP: Yes thats correct.
NUG: In the 2006 elections. Ballot measure J asked what san franciscos stance should be torwards impeaching bush. itpassed in favor by almost %20.
PR: Well, as speaker for the house, Nancy has other responsibilities besides the people of san francisco.
NUG: She wouldnt be speaker of the house, if she didnt get elected in san francisco. thats where her first priorities should be.
PR: Yes, but right now her priorities are to end the war in Iraq.
NUG: But she didnt say impeachment is being put aside for the time being, as youre suggesting. What she said, in direct violation of the will of her constituents, that impeachment is not happening.
PR: Thats correct. We will try to clarify this because we have gotten a lot of people calling in regarding this matter.
NUG: If Bush gets Impeached, cheney will most likely step down. Shed be able to end the war a lot easier as president, no?
PR: Ill be sure to pass that along to her.
Also today. The San Francisco Ethics Commission sent us this statement: The Ethics Commission does not have any jurisdiction over this matter. However, my recommendation to you is to read page 180 of the voter information pamphlet regarding measure J. According to the legal text of the measure, it appears that measure J is nonbinding and simply calls for a new general "City" policy.

First of all, Steven, The voter information pamphlet only has 171 pages. I assume your referring to page 158, though, but it says nothing about being non-binding.
